To begin routing calls with Audovo, you need to connect a carrier. We recommend Twilio because of its reliability, global coverage, and developer-friendly pricing. This step-by-step guide walks you through connecting your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token securely.
Step 1: Locate your Twilio credentials
First, log in to your Twilio Console. On the main dashboard, you will find your account credentials under the 'Account Info' section:
- Account SID: A unique 34-character string starting with AC.
- Auth Token: A secure token used to sign API requests. Keep this secret!
Step 2: Input credentials in Audovo
From your Audovo Dashboard, navigate to Settings > Twilio Integration. Enter your Account SID and Auth Token, then click 'Verify Connection'. Audovo will test a lightweight API ping to confirm the connection is successful.
Security Tip: Audovo encrypts all stored API credentials using AES-256-GCM. We never share or expose your Auth Token in plaintext logs.
Step 3: Provision numbers
Once connected, you can browse, purchase, or port existing phone numbers directly from the Audovo interface. Under Phone Numbers, click 'Buy Number' to provision a local or toll-free number instantly.
